GMS employees receive training in:
- The College of Direct Support curriculum
- Certified Residential Medication Aide
- CPR and First Aid
- Diabetes and Nutrition
- Individual Rights and Other Regulations
Our trainers receive regular re-certification and routinely tailor the training which they provide to the needs of the population. In addition to online and classroom training, regular in-service training occur in staff and management team meetings.
The GMS administrative structure is designed to ensure in the moment training and Quality Assurance checks are a priority. Staff development is an ongoing process which combines the classroom experience with consistent on the job training and follow up.
