GMS offers home support services for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism who live independently or with others and who need at least 10 hours of support per week.
Home Support is tailored to meet your individual needs while maintaining and maximizing independence.

Providing guidance, encouragement, and hands-on assistance, empowering you to take more control of your daily routines. By promoting independence and offering support when needed, we can foster confidence and enhance your ability to care for yourself.

Modeling respectful interactions, offering constructive feedback, and encouraging open, honest dialogue.

Helping with organizing, reminding, and administering medication.

Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to your dietary needs.

Assisting with bathing, grooming, and dressing.

Performing light housekeeping tasks like vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.

Providing rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping.

Assisting with physical exercises, stretches, or walking to maintain mobility.

Helping with tasks like picking up prescriptions, mail, or groceries.

Offering emotional support and companionship to reduce loneliness.

Ensuring the home environment is safe by checking for potential hazards like loose rugs or faulty smoke detectors.

Tracking vital signs such as blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and weight to manage health conditions.

Helping create and manage a budget, assisting with visits to the bank, monitoring daily expenses to keep within budget limits.

Helping with the use of electronic devices, such as setting up video calls or managing online appointments.
